Tips for a happier vacation

 

Security -

Please tell the neighbors, gardener and housekeeper that we are going to be coming each day to take care of your pets. 

​

Make sure you call your security company and tell them we will be coming in and deactivating/activating alarm system.  Give them our company name and the password that we create together at our interview. Make sure you leave the security companies number for us on the kitchen counter along with any other instructions. 

 

Leave a light on in the house. A stove light in the kitchen is a good choice. If you wish, I can vary the lighting each evening, so it will appear that someone is always home.

House -

​

Make certain the things your pets shouldn’t get into are either put away, closed, or out of reach. Some good examples are wastepaper baskets, dirty clothes hampers, etc.

 

Make certain all doors and windows are locked.

 

Close the doors to any rooms that you don’t want your pets to enter. I will make certain they stay shut.

​

Remember to unplug the coffeemaker and other small appliances.

Pets-

​

Leave a phone number and name on the kitchen counter of someone to call in the unlikely event of an emergency.

 

Please be sure to leave your vet's name, address & phone number as well as a copy of our consent to care form/payment consent.

​

Leave a radio playing on a mild station with soft music. Your pet will enjoy the music and it has a soothing effect. If your pet watches television, putting the television on a timer is helpful.

​

Please put out an extra water bowl so your pet never runs out of water. I will keep them both full.

​

Please set out any special medication your pet may need along with instructions for administration.
